I frequently use the BITFTP server (at PUCC) to get Fish-disk software. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get a full list -- BITFTP supports the UN*X-style "ls" command, but suppresses the "-R" option (to recursively list subdirectories). So, uh, what do I do? Alternately, I could try to get the listing directly (ASCII capturing it, I guess), if I could manage to log on! From the "Telnet>>" prompt, I type "connect ux1.cso.uiuc.edu"; when it connects and I get a "login:" prompt, I've tried logging in as "anonymous," but it doesn't work ... what the heck am I doing wrong? -- Scott Maxwell (CSMAXWEL@ECUVM1.BITNET or Scott.Maxwell@samba.acs.unc.edu)
