WordPerfect seems to be having problems running under Workbench 2.0 on my 3000. Namely: the top or bottom halves of some characters seem to vanish. Otherwise, things seem to behave, although I have not done extensive testing. What can be done? Here's some clues: All fonts are Topaz 8. WP behaves well in 1.3. I fiddled with the "tuning" on the back of the case, but it didn't help. When in Super Hires Interlaced (whew), sometimes columns of pixels disappear (the bevels of icons are invisible on one side sometimes). This is the only other instance of the display screwing up that I have noticed. WP kicks the screen mode into Hires-interlaced, even if I use Preferences beforehand to change it to any of the other three choices. Whose fault is this? Could be: My setup, bad programming by WordPerfect Corp, faulty display hardware, buggy interaction with 2.0, or god only knows what. | Dan Zerkle home:(805) 968-4683 work:687-0110 | | dz@cornu.ucsb.edu dz%cornu@ucsbuxa.bitnet ...ucbvax!hub!cornu!dz | | Snailmail: 6681 Berkshire Terrace #5, Isla Vista, CA 93117 | | Disclaimer: My fish are stupid. |
