Maybe I am way out of line here, but it seems to me that C= leaves something to be desired when it comes to marketing. I am getting tired of telling people that I have an Amiga and they have never heard of it, or they say why would anyone want to spend money on a Commodore? The few commercials C= did for the Amiga were nothing to rave about, frankly, I hated them. They did nothing to show off the computer or show that it was worth spending mucho dollars on. A compuetr store in my area does radio promos for the Amiga, pretty good ones. At the end of the ad, they say to stop by the store for a look. The store I'm talking about is by far the most prosperous in the area. Maybe some software/hardware makers for Amiga should get together and do some good commercials. They already spend a lot of money doing ads in Amiga mags, so if they directed some of that money to mags like Business Week alongside Mac ads, showing that Mac is no more powerful and a lot more expensive. The third party makers have a lot to gain if they can increase the Amiga market base... And judging from Newtek's DemoReels and other such work, they have the ability and the know how to put out quality ads. Any comments from the powers that be out there? Write-ups in Byte, etc... are nice, but we need to spread the word to people that haven't bought a computer and know nothing about them. Increasing the user base is what it's about.
