I would like to propose the creation of the following newsgroup classes and newsgroups: classes: usa.all goes to all USA sites na.all goes to all North American sites mod.all goes everywhere - for moderated newsgroups newsgroups: net.sys-adm all system administrators net.news-adm all netnews administrators The motivation for usa.all and na.all is to support the Distribution header better. Aside from possible creation of usa.general and na.general, there would be no migration of newsgroups there (unless someone wanted to create usa.politics or something like that - it could always be done). mod.all is already supported by 2.10 software as a class of moderated newsgroups, and would allow additional moderated newsgroups to be easily created. net.sys-adm and net.news-adm are intended as a means to reach all system administrators and news administrators in the world. They would be considered "important newsgroups" and as such all sites would be urged to get these newsgroups, along with net.announce, net.general, net.bugs, and net.news. The names are not cast in concrete - they could be, for example, net.news.adm and net.news.sa. Mark Horton
