Professional Draw 2.0 is a great improvement over 1.0, text can be made
to follow any line, cirlcle or curve. Colors can be blended
automatically and there is a great speed improvement, just to name a few
things...I need more time to use all of the other items, but it looks
like a very professional structured art program that is as good as most
available for the Mac or MSDOS systems...Gold Disk has done an excellent
job!!!! Mike

Personally, I didn't like 2.0 of Professional Draw. I was THINKING about
buying it, but when I looked at a copy a friend of mine had I said HECK NO!
They STILL use the dumb 60 column mode for their menus, and I the WYSIWYG in
2.0 (The onscreen WYSIWYG) is downright UGLY compared to 1.0. In 1.0 it looked
so clean... It looks VERY dirty in 2.0. It does have SOME new things in it
that make it better.

It'd be nice if Gold Disk was a thurough with the rest of their
applications...

I know someone who's been waiting for more than a month for the update to
Advantage, which, aside from the fact that it can't bleedin' COUNT, is a nice
package. Advantage never should have gotten past the beta testers, if it was
beta tested at all...

To add injury to insult, they're releasing a new business package that looks
like it's similar to Lotus Symphony...and it sounds like the spreadsheet is
the Advantage code.

Along with a very nasty letter, he sent Gold Disk an application for
membership in some national organization for quality control...

That's funny...my menus don't seem to be in 60col mode...in fact, aesteticly
(sp), you have to LOOK for stuff to show that it's 2.0, the interface hasn't
changed a bit, all they added was a bunch of new menu choices.

The only differences that I've seen at all between the two versions are the
new options, and PD2.0 is alot more stable.

Mike,
I agree, I have been using it quite a bit lately to do some security system design layouts for presentation to customers. I am very impressed with the Compugraphic fonts and the output available on dot matrix printers or lasers with low memory running 150 dpi. On a postscript machine it must be very impressive. Now all I have to do is get a flicker fixer! The security systems are being hosted on an Amiga by the way.
