[comp.sys.amiga] Need Info on Bridgeboard Janus Update

a774@mindlink.UUCP (Wayde Police) (07/23/90)

Are the updates still not available in the US? In Canada the update package has
been out for about 3-4 months, costs $29.95 CDN, comes with a newer manual
(about the same size as the old one) and 1 disk of each size. Amouse, Atime,
and the autoboot HD partition all work fine, as does FFS on MSDos supported
ADISK partitions. My manual has a part number 2088-022-0 and was printed in
Canada. The package is worth it, so maybe you should persue a Canadian source.
CBM's main address in Canada is 3470 Pharmacy Avenue, Agincourt, Ontario M1W
3G3.
        Hope this helps,

Does anybody know the status on the new Janus Software for the 2088
Bridgeboard. I have been told three different things from three different
dealers.

    1) Updates are free, just bring in old disk and copy over.
(sounds too good to be true)
    2) Updates are available from CBM. 4 Disks, 19.95 a disk
(awfully expensive but I wouldn't put it pass CBM)
    3) Update is available. 1 Disk $30.00
(seems fair, where do I send the check?)

Has anyone had any success with the software, esp. using the hard drive
link and mouse emulator?

Send replies through email, unless you have networthy info.

Much Thanks,

This may be a stupid question, but I've posed it twice before on the
net and have yet to get a single reply. Does mailorder exist in Canada?
If so, where can I get Janus 2.0?
