I've seen quite a few messages where folks are selling A2630 cards and am wondering about buying one. I do have a few questions concerning compatibility. First, my system configuration: A2000 cpu A2090A controller with Quantum 40 Meg drive A2058 with 8 Meg memory 1Meg Agnus A2010 internal floppy (total of two) flickerFixer w/ NEC 3D Framegrabber 256 JX-100/Scanlab 100 VidTech "Scanloc" external genloc Panasonic 1124 With 9 meg of 16 bit memory already installed, what happens if I add an A2630 card with an additional 4 meg? - Do I end up losing ALL of the memory on the A2058 board? - Do I end up with the 32 bit memory mapped to a different address space so I get a total of 13 meg? - Perhaps the 32 bit memory "replaces" some of the 16 bit memory and I still end up with 9 meg. Does anyone know of any possible compatibility problems (or, perhaps any big wins) with any of the above hardware? How about speedup on the Scanlab software (I *HATE* having to wait for the "picture to develop")? I use DPAINT III and ProWrite 3.0 a lot on this machine. Any problems with these two packages and the A2630? Please reply to <Jones@Eglin.AF.MIL> via E-Mail and I'll post a summary.
