This is in net.general so everyone will read it..... I am ticked off that the media is abusing our most sacred word: hack. It is unfair for them to use that to connotate illegal computer use, especially since they, the media, are inept lay people who have no concept of what a computer is, and therefore have no right to use our language. I called CBS in NYC to gripe, but they still use the word "hack." I think we need to act quickly to get them to change before irreperable damage is done. If everyone out there in USENET land phones all the major networks or sends in gripe letters, we might get something done. Come on people, let's do something!
