For all of you wanting to experiment with the FFS on floppies, just make an entry in your mountlist that refers to an external drive (df1: or df2:), give it some other name and use the FileSystem = l:FastFileSystem (... and a few other entries, which I can't remember right know). This way you can format, read and write the floppy as if it were a normal drive (external!), but you can't boot from it!!! And you have to mount it before it is recognized!!! Oh, by the way, this way normal DOS (say, df1:) and FFS (on the drive that you called, say, df2:) can exist on one drive, the Amiga will recognize what format it is!!! It really works great. And it gives you an idea of the possibilities of FFS, and what you can do with it. (You can't DiskCopy from DOS to FFS for example) FAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFA A F F Freddy Aries A A Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science F F University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands A A Email: vlsi4@erato.cs.kun.nl F F A AFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAFAF
