I know this subject was just discussed but now I'm in the market for
a spreadsheet and the last discussion left me hanging. After reading
several reviews, following notes discussions and playing with a
couple of spreadsheets I have narrowed my choices down to the
following:
Analyze! by MMS
SuperPlan by Precision Software
The Advantage by Gold Disk
If anyone has tried any of these I would like to here your assessment
of the following items:
* Compatibility with Lotus 123. (reading and writing of files as well
as macro's.)
* Speed.
* Graphing. Ease of creating and quality of output.
* Anything else you would like to contribute.
* Customer Support.
I have eliminate Maxiplan and VIP Professional for the following
reasons:
MAXIPLAN - (Based on demo version and reviews)
- Slow
- Redraws screen every time the right mouse button is clicked.
- Demo crashed several times.
- Users of released versions report crashing on occasion.
- Manufacture support is questionable.
VIP PROFESSIONAL: (Based on using.)
- Doesn't appear to be supported.
- Sloooow!
- Uses code overlaying. (Frequently accesses disk.)
- Does not support intuition interface.
- Although it does multitask it doesn't work well in the
amiga environment in general.
