Someone figure this out for me: On the education discount program, if you buy an A3000 (or any Amiga), you get the AmigaVision authoring system. The documentation (README-type files) comes with default tool set up called "less" (less is more than more). Less, when run on an A3000, crashes instantly. Therefore, the "less" program is not compatible. Commodore produces AmigaVision. Commodore produces the A3000. AmigaVision and the A3000 are packaged together. Therefore, Commodore is selling two incompatible products together, both of which they made. There is no error in my logic, yet the last statement is obviously a contradiction. Which one of my assumptions is false? Or did Commodore just screw up? Naw....... On the other hand, the A3000 comes with a hard drive, so it is possible to copy those files over, and change the default tool. -Dan

The AmigaVision version which will soon be shipped to A3000 owners and later bundled is not the original version which came with less. Additional information about changes and policies regarding AmigaVision will be announced shortly. The concept that what is shipped or sent to A3000 owners is incompatible is inaccurate, because AmigaVisions have not yet been shipped with A3000s. John Campbell Senior Manager Software Applications

If this is the same version, I'm not surprised it dies - I know of the write b/c I have Gomf running in the background - there doesn't seem to be anything fatal about it though. The size of the offending ls is 28848 bytes.
