I just got my A-Max II upgrade offer in the mail. Here is some info: - Upgrade for A-Max I owners: $49.95 US ($59.95 CDN) plus $5 shipping This amount can be applied to the A-Max II PLUS upgrade for the Amiga 2000 which will be available in the fall. Info not in the AmigaWorld ad: - hard drive support: up to 8 A-Max partitions supported by custom drivers for popular hard drive controller cards (they don't list them). Specs available for hard drive manufacturers. Mac-formatted drives can plug right in. - 2620 MMU or 68030 MMU used to remap memory to make all Amiga RAM contiguous for A-Max. Also sorts memory map by speed so 32-bit memory is used first. - Compatible with Amiga 3000 and Workbench 2.0. - AmigaDOS disks directly readable/writable from Mac side of emulation Conversion software included: MacPaint to/from IFF, Postscript. - 64K ROMs no longer supported. - delivery in 2-3 weeks I will be mailing my order tomorrow. Hi all! Is there a source to obtain blank prototype boards for the A2000/ A3000? I already posted a message on comp.sys.amiga.hardware to this effect, but alas only one person responded (didn't know either). There are a great number of companies marketing add-in boards. Can't believe they all tool their own - that would be absurd! I will certainly summarize to the net. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeff S.
