I just got my A2232 serial board about a week ago and decided that since
Commodore was nice enough to include a warrantee registration card with it I
would send it in.....
One problem: Where is the Serial Number located on an A2232 Multi-Port
Serial Card???
For those of you considering (or awaiting) one of these boards, this is
a REALLY nice piece of work. Congrats to everyone connected with it. I didn't
find ANY jumper wires on it and the software compatibility has been very well
thought out.
My only complaint is the lack of anchor for the back end of the board
(where the connectors are). Unfortunately it's pretty obvious that there wasn't
much that could be done about that -- ya just gotta use a little care when
un/plugging stuff into the board.
Also, none of the ports on the A2232 handle that funny MIDI speed, which
is OK since none of the ports supply the electrical power required by most MIDI
interfaces.
Anyway, if anyone (CATS??) can tell me where the Serial Number is on
this beastie I'd be a really Happy Camper. And please use E-Mail; I won't have
regular news access for another 4 weeks..
