[net.general] modems for home use

Can anyone supply me with information on the modems available
for home use (1200 baud at least).  If you have a particular
type of modem I would like to know why you chose, good and bad points,
etc..  I have been approached by ESE (of Motorola inc). They seem
to have a good product.  Has anyone used any of their modems?
