Well, not a single person replied to my plea for help. My A1000 won't boot, and it isn't worth my money to have it repaired (I find that I haven't been using it for anything but a Tek4010 term). As a result, the following stuff is on the auction block: The Hardware... --------------- A1000 cpu won't boot. internal drive worked fine when it was alive. keyboard is fine. includes the 256K RAM card (of course), and mouse. good for parts? A???? floppy (you know, the standard big, loud, external one) suffers from the dreaded "Not a DOS disk in drive DFx:" syndrome. probably just needs alignment. (2) Master 3A floppies these two puppies have worked like a charm for about a year. they click, but very quietly, and NOCLICK takes care of that. 2MB external RAM card made by Pacific Peripherals and Software; dubbed MegaBoard 2. does NOT pass the bus, but is very small, and works great. Amiga-tan plastic case. A1080 monitor no, it doesn't have stereo sound, but it does work just fine. Epson RX-80 printer upgraded with FingerPrint ROM so that it does a pseudo-NLQ, plus other nifty stuff selectable from the front panel. act now and get cable (for A1000) at no extra cost! Avatex 1200HC modem external 1200bps modem, Hayes compatible, speaker, etc. never had a problem with it. A-Time parallel clock a true collectors item of A1000 add-on hardware. works good. Future Sound mono audio digitizer; comes with mic. and software. joysticks, etc. all of the other crap that one accumulates when you have a computer. The Software ------------ A-Talk III Benchmark Modula-2 IFF library for above Simplified Amiga lib. for above source level debugger for above Absoft AC/FORTRAN F77 compiler WordPerfect Sculpt-3D Deluxe paint II Deluxe music Aegis Draw Plus Audio Master PlotPrint (prints out HPGL files quite nicely) Turbo Print Marauder II Metacomco Shell (yes, to laugh, but is was good for 1.1) ** PD stuff galore** probably >100 disks of stuff The Games: ---------- Flight simulator II FA-18 Balance of Power lots of other stuff that i rarely use The Books: ---------- Programming in Modula-2, Wirth, 4th ed. The AmigaDOS manual, C-A (a little outdated, but has the basics) Amiga Programmers Handbook, vol. 1, Mortimore (sybex) Amiga Programmers Handbook, vol. 2, Mortimore I have not thought enough about this to assign prices to any of this, but am willing to sell piece by piece, or (more unlikely) the whole shebang. e-mail or call me, and we can talk prices (I'm not interested in making a mountain of money on this, I just want to generate some pocket change while I get rid of the stuff). I have never sold anything over the net before, so methods of delivery/payment are also subject to conversation. -hoping to hear from anybody, matt nelson nelson@psroot.ps.uci.edu (714) 856-3476 (home) (714) 725-2629 (work) Physics Dept.
