ATTENTION: The A10 speakers for Amigas using speakerless monitors are now shipping, where they were previously backordered. I know this, because mine showed up UPS today. This is a very positive sign from Commodore, because they shipped directly to me, instead of making me drive 45 miles to the dealer (and back). I had to make a special request for this, but it paid off! Anyway, the speakers are cute little buggers, with ok sound. They are surprisingly loud for being 7 watts and being so little. They seem solidly built. There are controls on each for for base boost, treble boost, and volume. You don't need an amplifier, but you do need either 4 C cells (yes, batteries which I scavenged from my flashlight) or else a six volt DC transformer. Size is about 3" x 3" x 5", just right for the desktop. These would also be ideal to hook up to your portable CD player, when you don't want headphones. Price is $29 with the educational discount, and $36 (I think) list. By the way, they also look great, and match the Amoeba and 1950 monitor.
