I'm sorry to report that comp.sys.amiga.video has failed. I received 84 "yes" votes and 20 "no" votes, listed below. This does not satisfy the requirement that at least 100 more "yes" votes than "no" votes be received. The "From:" lines from each vote I received are listed below. Barring any corrections, I'll sit down and shut up about the matter. I don't think the problem was overall lack of interest - it was partly because I could not get mail to Eliot Lear (well, I could get mail to HIM but not to the submission address, I have 15 bounced messages to show for my attempts over 3 weeks - he kindly posted one call for votes that I sent to him directly anyhow, and it produced a brief burst of messages), and partly because some of my first calls for votes were munged somehow and may not have gone out everywhere. However, I'd still say the vote was valid as I did receive over 100 votes total. There is interest, just not enough at this time. Perhaps in a year or so someone will try again, or if the proposal to reorganize the comp.sys.amiga heirarchy ever gets off the ground, perhaps comp.sys.amiga.video will find a place. Here are the votes I have received - I did not check particularly closely for duplicates because the matter is pretty much moot, though I did find one duplicate "yes" vote which I discarded. If you do not see your vote here, and you did not notice your vote bouncing, please try to contact me again WITHIN 5 DAYS and I will try to find the problem. Again, I tried to reply to each vote but if you did not get a message from me, not to worry - I did not try to reroute bounced replies (there weren't really very many).
