I hope someone will tell me that I am wrong... but, as far as I can tell, Lhwarp (1.4) can not be used on the basic bundled A3000. It seems to insist that one own a 5 1/2" floppy drive. The fundamental problem: it assumes 512 bytes per track and won't work with anything else. When using ramdrive.device - with surfaces = 2, blockspertrack = 11, and 0 to 79 sectors - all as per the documentation in lhwarp - it gurus. Has anyone had success with this? This is truly a bummer - especially if the trend will be as on abcdf.etc ftp site where all archives are changing from zoo to lhw... and I don't really want to die the village idiot! :-) tiffany frazier -- tiff@cs.ucla.edu !{rutgers, ucbvax}!ucla-cs!tiff
