[comp.sys.amiga] Bad Blocks

David.Plummer@f70.n140.z1.FIDONET.ORG (David Plummer) (08/09/90)

Does anyone have any idea how to mark a block as bad on a floppy or
hard disk? I know DOS does it if you hit CANCEL on the read/write
error requester, but I can find no reference to it in any manual.

I also cannot find any means of doing it in the RootBlock or
                           UserDirBlock blocks.

                                   Help!

(By the way, I looking for a way to do this from C, not for a program
that does it for me).
