Well, I don't know about the Chinon, but I tried a Fujistu drive with the same results (it was a 1.44M, but that's not important). I know the Fujitsu didn't send a diskchange signal the Amiga could deal with, and Fujitsu verified that it wouldn't work. There were jumpers for diskchange, and a "diskchange negative step" jumper, but none of them seemed to have any effect.
