I have read the manual for Terrain and I understand, in principle, how to make water (the animated variety). Has anyone out there really sat down and done a thorough study of the effect of the various parameters for creating different types of water (small ripples, large torrents, whirlpools, rapids, crashing ocean waves (are some of these even possible??))? Any helpful hints would be appreciated. As soon as my A3000 gets back from the shop (minor repair to the 23-pin port) I am going to try to really see what Terrain can do. Any suggestions for good settings for WATER?? (color, reflectivity (values for R, G, and B), transmission (values for R, G, and B), index of refraction, etc.)?? Just curious. Scott Sutherland sutherla@qtp.ufl.edu BTW, has anyone played with VISTA yet? I was going to pick up a copy this past Saturday, but it was at list price ($99) and the place here in town sells stuff for 25% off so I'll have them order it. Boy am I cheap!!
