Yesterday, no, tonight I had a crash while dnews was looking for news. After that, the system (A3000) didn't boot anymore from my harddisk. Even after switching the power off and on again, it didn't work. Kickstart was loaded from the harddisk (strange, isn't it?) but then either nothing at all happened or the system asked for a boot disk. When I used a boot disk and opened HDToolbox it said "no drives connected to system". Arrrrgh! However, the gods had mercy on me and after loading kickstart from disk and booting with the Workbench, the harddisk validated (what it didn't do before) and was there again. Can anybody explain why kickstart could be loaded, but otherwise the drive wasn't recognized by the system? -- ------------------------------------ Chris Brand - wizard@sosaria.imp.com "Justice is the possession and doing of what one is entitled to" - Platon ------------------------------------
