Having received several requests from people who've attempted the lharc build on their UNIX boxes (Amdahl, etc.) and didn't succeed (after I claimed that I did get it running on numerous systems), I glanced at my archives. Arrgh! I've two versions, and in conversation with another person learned there's yet another one floating around ... all ostensibly the March 1990 release and ALL with the SAME version number (yeah, sure). The files shown in the "lharc-a" directory (below) are the identical ones from uunet.uu.net and (I believe) from the "new" Xanth (aka abcfd20), and the ones shown in the "lharc-b" directory are of unknown origin. I unshar'd the 2-part+patch into the "lharc-a" directory and applied "patch", and unzoo'd the "unknown" zoo file into the "lharc-b" directory (at least zoo preserves dates & times; why doesn't "shar" include something like "touch -m MMDDHHMMYY file" in its archives to restore dates & times?) I don't have as-ready access to the Amdahl box as I did nearly 6 months ago, so if someone wants to sort these out, lemme know; I haven't the time nor the inclination to do so. I could bring an Amiga disk to the upcoming BADGE or FAUG meetings; I do know that one of these also runs under HP-UX and handles Amiga *.LZH files just fine as does the one I have (had?) on the Amdahl box (which I cannot get to for awhile).
