[comp.sys.amiga] AMAX kills my Amiga

cring@hpihoah.HP.COM (Craig Ring) (08/15/90)

I am having a problem getting AMAX up and running on my A500. When I plug in
the AMAX hardware package and a Mac drive, I am unable to boot up the Amiga.
I just get the insert Workbench Disk prompt. When I insert a workbench disk
into the internal drive, nothing happens. The drive doesn't even seem to try
to read the disk. If I unplug the Mac drive from the AMAX cartridge, the
Amiga seems to boot up normally.

Any ideas? Does it sound like a problem with the Mac drive, the AMAX hardware,
or with the Amiga itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you blew a cia chip.Thats usually cause by plugging a drive in while the computer is on.
