[comp.sys.amiga] Recent new stuff

I gleaned a few intruiging things from page 10 of the Sept 90 AmigaWorld and
i'd like to elicit any additional information anyone out there might have. Is
the item about Lake Forest Logic working with Pixar to develop RenderMan Amiga
true and how far along is this project? What are the prospects for
connectivity between the CDTV and existing Amigas? The thought of having a
CDROM hooked up to my 2000 (with Amiga specific applications onboard) for the
under $1000 prices being thrown around make me drool (not to mention the
hacked up 500 inside for good measure.. hehe). How good is the new
narrator.device? Do we finally have something more natural sounding than -n
(which I can't discern from -r!). Finally.. is CBM doing anything about a
superdooper chip set (would 24bit graphics be too much to ask for ;))
supporting something a little more robust than the current graphics modes? I
know Commodore has a lot of work on it's hands and I commend them on a
magnificent job so far, keep up the good work (just advertise a little, ok!)
