[long live the line-eater...] I am looking into using an A3000 or A2500 to do some SCSI bus testing. Are there any applications out there that I can use to pretty much beat the bus with a variety of different SCSI commands? If not, how difficult would it be to write a program to send SCSI commands directly? Would this change depending on which SCSI card I chose (eg. A2091, GVP, Trumpcard, etc.)? Would I have to write a custom device driver? We are currently using mostly IBM clones to do this testing, but they have the stupid problem of not being able to transfer more than 64 Kb in a single command (due to the idiotic segmentation scheme of the 8086 family of CPUs). Do any Amiga SCSI cards have maximum transfer limitations? I would really like to be able to place the Amiga in this openning as opposed to using some other (more expensive or less powerful) machine. It would be very good press for the Amiga (are you listening, Commodore?). ____ ____ | / /_ __\ | Disk 0S/2 == 1/2 OS (Leo Schwab) Stephen Holmstead | | / / /_/ | | Mechanisms // ...!hplabs!hpdmlge!stephen |___\ / /___| Division \X/ Amiga stephen@hpdmlge.boi.hp.com
