Hi Netters, I have the basic configuration Amiga 1000 with just the 512K RAM. So far I have been using it to play games. Now I am getting interested in using it as a home computer and one of the programs that I'd be immensly interested in is personal financial manager. Does anyone know of a good program (user friendly, with lots of features to grow as my portfolio grows(?)) for a reasonable price. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance... -pras **************************************************************************** Prasanna Deshmukh pras@dg.webo.dg.com Data General Inc. ****************************************************************************

I have been using Money Mentor since it came out. It is now at Rev 2.5 One of its key features is useful if you itemize your federal tax returns : it allows you to record deductible and non deductible expenses. At tax time, you can print out a list of all deductible expenses with check numbers, budget categories and credit card account information. This is the feature that keeps me switching to Phasar which at version 3.o and I believe at 4.0 could not do this. I also like MM's cacheing feature which remembers the 60 most recent transactions for income and expense with different titles. Entering a month's worth of books takes me between 3 and 4 hours per month and believe me our accounts are complicated.

I use Phasar, a home financial package with a keyboard oriented user interface (limited & inconsistant mouse support). It's got all the features I need, but I don't like the tax support, so I use TaxBreak, which has much more features for Tax time... On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being best): Phasar: 7 TaxBreak: 8 I have a 1000, 1.5MB ram, & 30 MB Supra HD. Someday an 040... Someday UNIX... Someday I have some $$$! ******************************************************************* * Nhoj Nivram * * email: jmarvin@oracle.com * * "Reality is a Harsh Mistress..." * *******************************************************************
