In a review of Dr T's KCS-3 in this month's Amazing Computing there was reference to a forthcoming standard called "Commodore's MIDI Manager." For a long time now I was wondering why the Mac world had such a thing and we didn't --- especially on a multitasking machine where the natural desire is to run a sequencer and some patch editors all at the same time. I've always felt that Bill Barton's MIDI library was a good place to start-it allows routing of midi messages to multiple programs as desired. Does anyone have any information as to what sort of capabilities the MIDI manager will have? -Will it provide routing of MIDI messages? -Is there a way to share a clock? -Will there be a way to share MIDI data in memory? -Tom
