This is a reply to iwscoop@bigsur.uucp, whom I could not email directly. Yes, without a doubt, I feel the '030 is worth the extra money. Its presence is felt in every application that is run. I would be loathe to give it up after having used it for these months. Oh, and if you do anim in TS, it is a REAL blessing. I rendered a 65 frame anim of a rotating IFF mapped globe (original, huh?) and it took about 9 hours. Let's see, that is 108 hours by 68000 or 4.5 days by the stock Amy. Now, tying up my Amy for overnight (sounds kinky) is fine, buy for nearly a work week... forget it! If you have infinite patience, you may want to wait for the '040 boards to come out and down in price. Good Luck! mike scribner ponca city, OK
