I noticed Creative Computers' Ad in September AmigaWorld, has a special deal on ProNet/ProBoard: Buy ProNet ($289) and get ProBoard Free till Aug.31,1990 They also have junior versions of these products at ~$100(us) each. I'm thinking about getting the pro version, at the special deal price, but was wondering if it may not turn out to be such a great deal after all? Could the junior versions be better (they're newer?), Could it be that the professional version's don't work correctly under the new 2.0 AmigaOS, and the upgrade fee will be >= $300, I'd save? I probably wouldn't use this software enough for it to be worth $600 to me, but for $300, I might be able to justify it. Any comments regarding operation under 2.0, or experiences of the junior products vs. the professional products would be welcome. Thanks in Advance. -Ed Berger eb15@andrew.cmu.edu eberger@b.psc.edu

I haven't seen the new junior versions, but the standard 2.0 versions
work fairly well with OS 2.0. The screen initially has a visable title bar,
but as soon as you access that screen, the title bar goes away. Under one of
the early betas of 2.0, the save files had troubles, but that was fixed long
before the 3000 release.
I'd make a guess that the Jr. versions are a bit more compliant to
standard AmigaDOS manipulation, but with less features. I'd really like to
see an improved professional version instead of junior versions. :-( (I could
really get into two track, autoroute and smart autoplacement... )
:Thanks in Advance.
