I put an ad in the Sept Issue, and it has been printed. I do not know when it will be sent out to subscribers and hit the news stands, but I do have an advertisers copy so I know it exists. -Roger UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd ucsd nosc}!crash!pnet01!uzun ARPA: crash!pnet01!uzun@nosc.mil INET: uzun@pnet01.cts.com

I received my new ".info" magazine issue #32 on 8/23. I have a subscription, but miss the 8-bit coverage. Couldn't they give the C64/128 just one page ? .....BJ

I received a new Info (it is now called .info, by the way) today (8/20/90) . In my opinion it is much improved from the old one -- improved articles and reviews, and greatly improved layout. I imagine that most subscribers will be receiving their issues this week. Brian

In-Reply-To: message from besst@unix.cis.pitt.edu I just got the new ".info" as well...I'm pretty impressed by their overall changes. The only thing I DIDN'T like was the attitude in the J.Foust's "warning" on page 68 that the mainstream success of the Amiga will turn it into something more like the Mac, and Amiga software prices will go thru the roof. That all depends on us, the end buyers. If software companies charge sky high prices for software and we pay it, then yep, they will stay high. If we don't pay it, either: The company goes elsewhere, or They charge less. But I don't think they will be as high as a Mac. I think the Mac developers look at the Mac users and think 'Sheeee-oooo! Lookit the prices these rubes paid for their hardware, I bet we kin charge a bundle on software and they will pay it. They's rollin' in bucks." -- John Sparks |D.I.S.K.
