Do I have your attention? Good. My 2000 has a blown power supply. This is a repost (fourth post to be exact). Perhaps the lack of repsonses is due the extreme robustness of 2000 power supplies. Maybe I'm not asking the right question, but after all I just blow-up machines -- I don't fix 'em. I did receive one reply (thanks Jason) who blew his 500 power supply and suggested not to take any chances and get a new power supply. While I may do this I'd like to to know: Is there a possibility of having it repaired? An associate is willing to do so, if possible, if I obtain the necessary parts and/or schematics. The circuit board bears the legends: PHIHONG REV-C2 PSM-2000 29201-230 MADE IN TAIWAN I definitely need to know what part IC1 is, er ... "was." The identity of R15, R12, and possibly R14 may be helpful. I am open to any and all suggestions. By the way, it blew-up when some idiot (me) replaced a burnt-out fuse with a long-blow fuse. Moral: when it says "No user serviceable parts inside," believe it; consult somebody who knows. As usual, please respond via e-mail. If there is any interest I'll probably faint and then summarize and post. Thanks, joe "probably a dead one" piazza --- In capitalism, man exploits man. In communism, it's the other way around.
