The figures quoted about 30 children dying every minute due to lack of food and stuff is probably very accurate, but why? I don't have all the answers but from what I understand in India much of the starvation is not due to lack of food but religious reasons. Cows are not killed in India and much grain is raised to support the life of the cow. Also, from what I understand, if cows were not held at such high esteem (higher than humans) there would be plenty of meat and grain for people in India for many years. (I can provide my sources for this if you want.) Brian Crumby
