Man, the last place I'd see the Amiga demo was at my school's mac fanatic bookstore (PriceCenter). About a week ago two CBM reps and two Amiga dudes from the local Amiga store brought in fully loaded Amiga3000 and A2530 (4Mbs each w/ 100MB hd full of demo's) w/ Nec 3D and 1950 multisyncs and the cute little speakers. They ran the usual crowd pleasers NewTek Demo Reels, some Anims, and AmigaVision. The mac droids were stunned, speechless. The new slick 2.0 WB looked really cool on the multisyncs. There was a crowd of twenty people building. Then, for the ultimate kicker. John Gretz, the CBM Higher Ed. Rep says "OK, give me your Macintosh software" He boots up AMAX on the 2530 and it runs gracefully Microsoft Word, and everything else they threw at him. I heard one mac noid said "Wow, the screen refresh is faster than my Mac II!" You're typical textbook Amiga demo. The manager was very impressed but wanted to know the # of Amiga people on campus. I believe he was also worried that the Amiga500 may cut into the Mac sales. Incidentally, our SuperComputer Center have two A3000's in the Scientific Visualization lab. I was informed that they may do a Unix demo there in October. It seems CBM has already gotten on the road show demoing the Amiga at various Universities across California (and I surmise the rest of the nation) Wow, I give Howard Diamond a thumbs up! -Viet Ho Viet.Ho@samba.acs.unc.edu

I'm still wondering when the C= reps. will come to CORNELL University. This place is so MAC infested that any Amiga owner who walks into the computer section of the campus store gets 'choked'!!! ( PLEASE Commordore, do give a demo of the Amiga here. There are a number of Amiga owners here who will only be too willing to help!!! I, personally would love to demo the Amiga to anyone!). So what about it, Commordore??? ***Vincent*** (Demo freak!)
