[comp.sys.amiga] Becoming an Authorized Commodore Dealer

BARRETT@owl.ecil.iastate.edu (Marc Barrett) (09/09/90)

I am interested in finding out exactly what the procedures are in
becoming an authorized Commodore dealer. I am also interested in finding
out exactly what qualifications Commodore requires for potential
dealers to become authorized.

(Don't read anything ito this. This information is for someone I know
who is interested in possibly setting up a Commodore dealership here,
but he is only interested in exploring the possibilities at the moment).

YOU! A dealer?! I doubt that, since even Dave Haynie trashed you! In my
opinion, if one of the main people from CBM doesn't like a person, then
that person doesn't deserve to become a dealer.

- YOU! A dealer?!

You seem to be suffering from the same disease MB is. Reread the
paragraph above.

- I doubt that, since even Dave Haynie trashed you!

I guess if Dave Haynie trashed him, then all is lost! :^)

- In my opinion, if one of the main people from CBM doesn't like a

It's strange how Joe's opinions affect CBM's dealer authorization
policies. :^)

Another victim of the 'Milton Bradley' experiment. :^)

Actually, it looks like they got me too!

Hey, hang on a bit! Much as I am amused / annoyed by Marc's articles
(he reminds me of Uncle Bruce Ruxton), I don't see why you should
insult him in this fashion. It is up to Commodore whether to give him
any information, not you. Is is also up to the company to consider
his friend, not you. If you believe Marc is a lying, cheating
scoundrel, then report him to Consumer Affairs.

Can we cut down on the noise level here? It would be nice if people
limited their replies to information that would be useful to others.
As a general rule of thumb, do not flame a message if you know everyone
else is going to do the same thing.

P.S. Dave does not work for CBM, he is in engineering (Commodore
International, or some such.)
