Make that two votes on the more speed the better when it comes to 3d rendering. After a while, even waiting 30 minutes on a 320x400 HAM raytrace gets to be tedious ( I have a 28 MHz GVP ). I would love to cut that down to 10 minutes. Incidently, on a 68000 that ray trace would be about 6.5 hours. Now, if you are a new user to TSilver (I use that one), you are likely to make a few mistakes...it is called learning. I prefer to be told after 15 to 30 minutes that my IFF wrapped pillar or globe looks like something after a Star Trek transporter malfunction rather than after 6.5 or more hours. It makes you want to try more things and keeps you from shelving the program prematurely. In fact, it would probably keep you from shelving the program ever. I could go on for several more lines about how it improves the useability of the machine in general, but I have already ranted enough. mike scribner ponca city, OK
