I am currently running 2.0 in 16 color mode (see my Iconize program in abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov for why). When I am using a shell the scrolls are atrocious! What I noticed was that the shell generally uses only the basic 4 colors of the palette. Is there any way to modify the scroll routine of the Shell to only blit the first two planes and ignore the others to get scrolling speed comparable to the 4 color mode? I realize that some limitation may have to be put on the shell to dis-allow the other 12 colors of the palette but since the average user would only be in 4 colors anyway, this should present no problem in actual use.
