In today's (Mon 17 Sept 1990) issue of the Chicago Tribune, there is a quarter page ad for the Amiga! The ad is located on page three of the business section. "STEAL THIS AMIGA AND GET THE MONITOR FREE." The ad features an Amiga 2500 (why didn't they show a 3000?) and blurbs about the following: a) "price of an Amiga" (no figures mentioned) b) "manage an office" (MSDOS compatability mentioned) c) "multitasking" d) 1. "..thousands of colors.." 2. "..sound.." 3. "..print and TV production studio.." e) "multimedia" f) "desktop publishing" g) "graphics video production" -"The Amiga is the first to do both with equal capability and dash." h) "free monitor deal" Also last friday in Miami University's student paper, there was a full page ad descibing the Amiga 3000 and the educational discount system. They are also giving away free T-Shirts at "participating stores" for asking about the 3000 and the ad. Who says Commodore doesn't advertise anymore? :) Tak ======================================================================== Mark Takacs -MiamiU Oxford OH | "There can be only One!" -the Kirgen Stilmark | "The computer for the creative mind." As I understand it, the reason they didn't show the 3000 was because the offer (of a free monitor) only applies to the 2000HD and 2500/30 models. (The offer is also only good until September 29) Dave
