Howdy ! Well, I've come to be convinced that I need an Amiga. Now I just need to know where to begin, and I hate depending on salespeople. Most of my computer experience is in PICK, programming in Basic. I want this computer to learn from (thngs like other languages and graphics and such). Sooo.. Is the 3000 overkill ? Any reason not to buy used ? 500 vs 2000 vs 2500 vs 3000 ? Is mail order purchasing advisable ? Where can I get some fundamental education in order to make a knowledgable purchase ? I just read some postings and I can see I am indeed a novice. What the hell is a genlock ? I guess I'd like to keep it approx $2000 - $3000, but I'm somewhat flexible and love not spending money I don't have to. Any info / hints / clues / advice welcome :-) Please reply via email. Thanks in advance, Jim -- The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others ... over himself, over his own body and mind, the individual is sovereign.
