[comp.sys.amiga] ST-506 to SCSI interface

hawk@pnet01.cts.com (John Anderson) (09/26/90)

  Could whoever (or anyone else if you know) posted the info about the ST-506
to SCSI interface for hard disks please post the info again. Something
screwed up (probably me) and I lost the message. Could you please give the
name, address, phone number, and any other info about the interface that you
might think I would need. Thank you ahead of time.

{I'm nitpicking so bear with me}
A ST-506 to SCSI interface would be extremely complicated and unneccesary.
Imagine having to interpret head step lines, and read/write commands in
real time and sending the apprpriate SCSI command to the drive. And sending
the data in MFM or RLL as the case may be. A SCSI to ST-506 interface would
be a lot easier to build and quite a few are on the market. Again, I am just
nit-picking. No malice is intended what so ever.
