In article <1401@winnie.fit.edu> you write:

Granted I probably was wrong with C++ , but over the net I heard people did
not like it.

>I agree. Do it on the Amiga. I have several systems in my office: Mac IIcx
>w/ 8Meg RAM, 80 Meg HD, 2-page display; Amiga 1000 w/ 4.5 Meg RAM, 40 Meg HD,
>68020/68882 board; PC-compatible laptop; Sun SPARCStation 1 w/8 Meg RAM; plus
>the machines I have at home. The Amiga is by far the most interesting - maybe
>not the most powerful (SPARC is) but certainly the neatest.

My article did not mean to address hardware only software, as you, I believe
the amiga is a very very powerful machine, but the software seems to cummulate
only in areas of

           graphics
           word processing
           Data Bases
           Spread Sheets
           languages
           Os Utilities
           Cad

>, but you would have to write 950 stacks at least.
>Agreed. Mac will always beat out Amiga because the amount of money in Mac
>systems makes it a more attractive system for more people. You have to have
>money to make money...

This is **&^&^*$%^%$&$%^& (sorry) but on of the reasons why I brought the amiga
was I was impressed with the public domain at the time (wow all those utilities)

>So write some yourself. I think you sound like you have a good grasp of what
>is required. I did the same thing when I was in grad school. I worked by day
>and programmed by night. If you really want it it is there for the taking. If
>you are waiting for someone to write the perfect program for you, then I am
>afraid that you will forever be disappointed in the Amiga connunity. The best
>programs I have seen (for the most part) are public domain. The best writers
>are those people that write because they want to and they make sure no bugs
>are in the code. THOSE are the guys that write well... but they only write
>what interests them. You can be one of those too if you want to.

Good point and I do agree with it, but I have been trying to write my software.
However, I have a 3000 and the C compiler does not work too well when I get
Dice I will be writing software and porting stuff from the mac.

By the I have suggested that

    1) A separate area be setup to discuss software people wanted

    2) send me your ideas and if it is something I like , I try to produce

So far none of these have been used
