A friend of mine has come down w/ a problem w/ his A500. At first, when the computer is turned on, all he gets is a green screen and the power light flickered. We figured one of the chips (agnus) was loose, took it apart, and pressed all the chips down. Well, no go. Afterwards, now we get no response f/ the system when we turn it on other than the drive light and caps lock light turning on and no other response from the system. I still have a feeling it's the agnus. I took out the agnus, stuck the pins out more thinking it was a loose connection. It's in there tight now, but the system still is dead (green drive light and caps light on only). I was wondering if anybody knows what is wrong. I'm pretty sure it's the agnes, but am I overlooking anything. Lastly, I am wondering if some good soul who upgraded to a super agnus, still has their old chip lying around and can donate it to a worthy cause. My friend is more than willing to reimburse you for shipping costs and your time. Please leave e-mail to: jhc00614@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu or to totten@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu Thanks, Jason
