A group of us who are currently at uni have just about completed a text adventure game for the Amiga. We are currently at a disillusioned stage where we wonder whether it is worth releasing in a commercial sense. We feel that the capabilities of the system are up to or exceed those of Infocom or games such as Corruption and the Pawn from Magnetic Scrolls. (like spellchecking, history and aliasing) The program was developed exclusively on the Amiga, multitasks (the most difficult bit -:)), and runs on the 3000. All the hooks are in for graphics and sampled sound effects but we are unwilling to make our graphic artist and musician spend any time on a doomed project. The reason we are writing this letter is to find out whether there is still any interest in graphic/text adventure. If not we will put the program on shareware or public domain. If anyone knows of any companies willing to market adventure programs we would appreciate hearing from you. If it becomes a commercial program we are willing to convert to IBM.
