OK, HAM-E creators, let's talk turkey. I am aware that you created your little graphics dynamo for video work and are to be commended if what I'm hearing about it's quality is true. However, I am not interested in video work at the present time but I _DO_ wish to improve the quality of my Amiga's graphics. Therein lies the problem. You see a few months ago I bought a Flicker-Fixer. I was in a spending frame of mind and even the daunting price of the thing didn't keep me from buying one. Well, now I _WON'T_ live without one. So you see, I don't have any desire to pay an additional $300 to make my FF obsolete, not to mention the fact that the 1950 monitor (which I use) has THE WORST interlace display I've ever seen (I think maybe the increased resolution and the tighter beam cause larger scan line gaps). I have been in contact with the creator of the Flicker-Fixer (for other reasons)and in the course of our conversation, he said that you had discussed the possibility a while back. It appears that since you utilize the digital signals from the Amiga and since the FF generates similar signals internally (albeit not available from a connector but available to a tech nevertheless) that a FFable version is well within the realm of possibility. I may even be remotely possible to create a version which would be compatible with both standard NTSC and FF video for flicker-free viewing OR video recording. I personally use my machine to collect, translate and play with various graphic formats including GIF and IFF and do little more than view them or use the pictures in drawing or ray-traces. I have little interest in video work and feel that the flicker-free picture is wonderful for my taste. I would, however be more pleased with an increased palette which the HAM-E board would give me. The next choice I have heard of with similar color features is the FireCracker 24 or the Video Toaster, both of which retail for over $1200. Please consider my request (which if not clear is to make available a Flicker- Fixable version of your board) and consider at least one of such a version sold if it comes into being. _______ __________ _/____) ' __ /_/ / ' / / __ _ "N.I.N.J.A.J.I.S."-Me / \___/__/___/ |_ /__/__/__/_/_-_/__/_/ The Displaced Razorback. ___________________________________________/ Founder: IDGAFF Ltd. I don't think either one supports 35ns pixels. -kls -Sullivan_-_Segall (a.k.a.
