|I'm looking for a machine that will run X windows, has a bus of some
|kind so that I can add serial ports, has SCSI interface, and will run
|either OSF/1 or System V.4; although it really doesn't matter.
|It should be able to handle 3rd party SCSI disks with a minimum
|of hassle. I'll want at least 200Mb of disk space, but I can put that
|together separately. 3rd party memory availability would also be a plus.
|
|I'm looking in the ~$3k to ~$6k price range, depending on configuration.
|What I really have in mind is a Sun Sparcstation (with the S-bus)
|but I'm open to other suggestions, particularly a MIPS-based box or
|an '030 or '040-based box with comparable power.
|
|Color is much prefered. Grayscale is a must; I'd rather not have b&w!

An Amiga Unix system is almost exactly
	what you're looking for. SysVr4, X with
OpenLook, SCSI, 25Mhz 68030, color, ether,
200 MB, up to 16 MB of static-column RAM,
	7-port serial option, inexpensive, nice...
