I recently purchased an Amiga 3000 (July '90) and was planning to purchase it with an AT compatible Bridgeboard. My dealer informed me that Commodore was working on new Bridgeboards that were more compatible with the A3000 than the current generation, could use the internal disk drives without hardware/software kludges, and they might have an 80386SX Bridgeboard on the way. They suggested that I delay purchasing a Bridgeboard until the new generation boards were available which they said would be REAL SOON NOW, and keep checking with them. Well, I kept checking with my dealer and they said the new Bridgeboard is coming soon - just hold on a little while longer; that is until last weekend when my dealer told me that the new style Bridgeboard might NEVER come out - Commodore was having trouble with them and they weren't working right. I don't want to flame Commodore - I love my machine, and I don't want to start a flame session, however I don't want to wait forever to install a Bridgeboard on my machine. If anyone out there has answers to these questions I would greatly appreciate an answer either by EMAIL or by postings on the newsgroups. - Thanks, no cute signatures here - George R.
