[comp.sys.amiga] TDU_PublicUnit structure in devices/trackdisk.h

blakec@pi3.local (Carl D. Blake) (10/02/90)

I posted this question to the net over two weeks ago, but still haven't
received a response. Maybe noone knows, but I might as well keep trying.

Would someone please explain how to use the TDU_PublicUnit structure
described in the devices/trackdisk.h header file? I cannot find any
documentation on it, Commodore refuses to answer my questions (for
developers only - got a spare $400? :-), and my nearest dealer (read
100 miles away) doesn't know what I'm babbling about. I would like
to change the characteristics of one of my floppy disk drives (e.g.
the track to track seek delay). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I can't help you with the programming question (I'm just
a hardware type of guy...), but it *doesn't* cost $400 to become an
Amiga developer! It's $50/yr with a (I believe) $25 signup fee. That
makes it cheap enough for pretty much anyone to use.
