I'm looking for an add-on board for an amiga 2000 that can accept digital sound from a digital output of a CD player or even from a modified home CD player that takes the digital music off of the CD and doesn't do an digital to analog to line output conversion. Since I don't know a lot aabout hardware, this is what I want to accomplish: Direct input of music from a CD to an amiga file that can then be read by one or more of the Amiga sound programs. It seems strange to me to have a CD player convert to analog then to line output which is connected to a sampler that converts the analog to digital and then sends it in the parallel or serial port. Or do I need a board at all? Can I send digital sound directly through pin 18 on the serial port (the audio IN)? ANY IDEAS OR PLANS APPRECIATED. David...
