I bought AdRam 520 from one of the local dealer whom ordered it from his source. I received the package few days ago and had him install it. After the intallation, I ran the "MemTest" program that in the disk they supplied (in the package) and it gave me alot of errors each time I run the program. What's even more amazing, each time I run the program, I get differentnumber of errors with repeats. I took the board and my A500 back to the dealer, where he spend a good 2-3 hours testing, switching, isolating the chips he supplied. The conclusion: The ram chips are FINE. The board runs okey only when it's 512K populated; anymore then that, and we get errors (on the good ram chips). What is causing this? Is it the Ram board's problem? ( I ordered the same board from another mail order dealer before, getting the same problem, and have him refunded my money, but twice in a row? ) Could it be my computer? ( I have never observed any problem with my computer working with one other memory board "Supra Ram 512K" before. Could it be that my computer cannot tolerate more then that mere 1Mb? I'm returning the AdRam 520 board now and reordering the new AdRam540, but I don't know if the same thing is gonna happen again. Could anyone help? -- [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] [] Only Amiga makes it Possible.. | InnerTangent: maxc0849@ucselx.sdsu.edu [] [] Mind is the basis of reality. | In Real Life: Bill Chiu []
