Since I've tired of waiting for the Amiga Ethernet software to be released, I decided to put our 2500 with AT bridgeboard on our net via a Western Digital 16 bit Ethernet card. I've gotten the thing up and running, however, in NCSA telnet for the PC the thing is awfully slow. I'd like to know what are the proper settings for the jumpers on the board. I've configured it like this: I/O address: 300 (factory set: 280) IRQ : 9 (factory set: 3?) Waitstates : on (factory set: off) In telnet's config.tel I've made the changes accordingly, and also do not use the BIOS routines. (When they were on stray characters would pop up around the scren.) Any help would be appreciated... which IRQ, and I/O address would be best for the bridgeboard with this card? Please email.
